Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence is a project which aims to detect extraterrestrial intelligent life. SETI primarily uses radio telescopes to search for extraterrestrial signals, although optical telescopes and other methods have been proposed. Any discovery of intelligent alien life by SETI would have profound implications for humanity’s future; a negative result would imply that we are alone in the universe, and that the rise of intelligent life was a rare, freak-chance event.

The SETI Institute was founded in 1984 on November 20.
Thomas Pierson founded the corporation and has served as its chief administrator since its inception.
SETI, as it is commonly known – made its humble beginnings on April 8, 1960 under the name “Project Ozma.”
Dr. Frank Drake is the astronomer and pioneer who flipped the “on” switch for Project Ozma’s first day. He now heads the SETI Institute, which oversees experiments that use radio and optical astronomy to search the skies for alien signals. On the 40th anniversary of Project Ozma, Dr. Drake shared his thoughts with SPACE.com about the continuing search for extraterrestrial life.

Question: Need help with new church name!!?
My church is moving to a new location. We are changing the name of our youth service, which was previously called “Area 51″ (the 51 is a reference to psalm 51, so it’s not completely random). Does anyone have any ideas for a new name? Preferably something short and modern. Thank you!

Question: I need some help on Sims 2?
Yeah, so I’ve been trying to use a cheat code on Sims 2 (boolprop -whatever…) and it’s sort of worked…
Creepy on how some tombstone can Create random children…
Anyways, my main objective is to get my male sim abducted by aliens, but every time I select “Force Abduction” on my EXPENSIVE telescope, he bends over it, but then reverts to his normal, standing up straight position and acts like nothing happened.
“Resetting” this problem did not help. And “Deleting” most certainly did not either.
Currently, I have the telescope on the second floor deck, seeing as my house only has two floors.

Question: Sims 2- Forced Alien Abduction not working! Please help!?
I am playing Sims 2 right now, and I want my teen to get abducted. I have tried before to do it regularly without cheating, never happened. Tried constantly stargazing all night for several weeks while cheating on the motives, nope. Tried going back and back and back, canceling it and everything, nope. So I put on the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true cheat, and I know it works, I’ve been pushing shift, and clicking on the telescope, and it shows the whole “Force Abduction” thingy, but whenever any of my sims go to do it, they start to look, then glitch away real fast, and won’t get abducted. How can I force that to stop, or what’s the best advice to get them abducted without cheating? I’m willing to try anything (have plenty of time), but I can’t figure it out! Thanks to any responses.
P.S. Can’t wait for Sims 3! Already pre-ordered to be delivered on release date! Hope it doesn’t get pushed back… again.

the same exact thing happens to me! its annoying. i dont think theres a way to fix it.http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Alien_abduction try this site. its basically saying that theres possibly a better chance of being abducted if your an adult, your in Strangetown and your aspiration is Knowledge. these haven’t been confirmed to be true, except for the Strangetown one. if you are stargazing in strangetown theres a much better chance you’ll be abducted.
my advice, is not to download any crap or anything just let it happen. heres a fast way: go to strangetown. make a family or whatever. move them into the Curious brothers household and gaze through the telescope on their lot as soon as it becomes dark. almost immediately the aliens will come. it could take a day or two but just be patient. then once they get abducted you can move your family out so you can leave those Curious brother freaks…lol jk. have fun and hope i helped! mwah mwah good luck!

Question: I need help naming an “alien abduction” movie (i think from the 90′s)?
I used to have this movie back in the 90′s that would severely creep me out. I can only remember a scene of it now. The scene is that this woman is trying to go to sleep in her bed and notices flashing lights outside her window. She gets up and looks out and notices 3 guys, apparently a utility crew, staring up at a telephone pole. The woman looks away and looks back out at the window to notice the 3 guys are now looking at her. The 3 guys proceed to walk towards her house and through the wall/door.
Can anyone help me out???
