READ BELOW: Links to pics used in comparison: ge.tt More picture comparisons of The Orion Nebula. This time I have one picture that is targeting a specific center point inside the vortex. With all the matching overlapping shapes the statistics are too high for it not to be a match. It appears I am homing in on what we are supposed to notice.
Question: I wonder what’s really going on there?
Ok, I know this might be a odd ball question but I’m really curious about the origins of the infamous “Area 51″. Is it just a secret base where the government is trying to keep some of there technology secrets hidden or is there really more to it. I the discovery channel and history channel and see all these shows on “UFOs”, how people have captured actually footage of the crafts and how it may all lead back to the base(Area 51).
Is just another base or a storage facility for unknown aircraft’s?
Do UFOs really exist or is it just a bunch of paranoid hoopla?

If UFOs exists – have you heard any recent reports of sightings? With all of the cell phones w/cameras these days, you’d think we’d have some film at 11pm. Area 51 does have military significance, and there are about 12 more of those secret sites around the USA. We have to keep ahead of the rest of world, so we have to have a place to develop and test new technologies & weapons.

Jill Terter, Director of the Center for SETI Research at the SETI Institute will be posting this information sometime this month on the science link and in the newspapers. Wonder who their God will be, an ET?

YES, there is life out there. Its cheaper and less complicated to listen for signals than it is to send signals out to space, ET’s wouldn’t receive our signals during our life time.

Question: how is SETI going to find alien life by using radio signals?
if someone responds to radio signals transmitted by us but taking hundreds of light years to get there, by the time we get a reply won’t we have moved on from radio technology anyway so couldn’t deal with the return signal? Is it all a waste of time?

What do you believe happens at “Area 51″, officially known as Detachment 3, Air Force Flight Test Centre, near Groom Lake, Nevada.
The site is well known for nearby sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) in the sky night over and near the base, but considering the government has given some recognition of it’s function by revealing its name (above), that may not be surprising.
It is now known that it was formerly used by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) during it’s most active period which was during the Cold War, and was responsible for the development of air craft prototypes which would later become the U2 Spy plane, the SR71 Blackbird, the F117 Stealth fighter, and the B2 strategic bomber.
The base currently has an estimated 25 mile “exclusion zone” in which no civilian or military flights can enter, and a 15 mile “restricted area” on land access (nearest viewpoint is 26 miles away). The restricted area is protected by radar, motion and sound sensors, which alert armed private security guards working for the G4S security subsidiary of the EG&G defence contracting Corporation.
Common theories include:
- It’s a Research & Development base for Top Secret US Air Force Technology
- It’s a Research & Development base for Top Secret USAF technology, especially extra-terrestrial technologies from crashed UFOs and alien donations.
Interesting theory Curt, but they’ve always been saying it’s moved, since 1997. But it’s still very active with over 2,000 workers entering daily, and a huge new hanger built in the last two years.
